Here’s how you can achieve Glass Skin at home
/The concept of Glass Skin is not new but it remains one of the beauty goals to be achieved by anyone who loves the look of clear, luminous, almost transparent skin. And it seems if you follow these skincare steps religiously, glass skin is not as elusive as one might think.
Step 1: Double cleanse
Like the term suggests, a double cleanse requires you to cleanse your face twice. For the first cleanse we recommend a gentle oil-based cleanser to remove all makeup, dirt and grime. Follow up with a second cleanse using a gentle and mild cleanser that won’t irritate the skin.
Step 2: Exfoliate
Now that your skin is all clean, use a gentle exfoliator. Not to be used every day, this can be incorporate into your skincare regime once or twice a week to help slough off dead skin cells, allowing your natural radiance to shine through. Be gentle when using an exfoliator and spend a little more time exfoliating areas prone to bigger pores and blackheads such as the cheeks, nose and chin areas. 4

Step 3: Toner
Find a toner that is suitable for your skin type, so that you not only address your current skin concerns, you’re also prepping your skin accordingly for other skincare products you are about to apply to your skin.
Step 4: Use an essence or serum
Now that your skin is a little damp from the application of a toner, applying a few drops of essence and / or serum to target your skin concerns is ideal. When applying either of these products, it’s important to pat it into your face, instead of rubbing it in.

Step 5: Moisturise
As we get older, our skin is less adept at retaining moisture. Some external help certainly wouldn’t hurt. Choose a moisturiser that has natural ingredients such as Squalane, derived from olives and known to give a boost to your skin’s hydration levels.
Step 6: Sunscreen
Without a doubt, this is one of the important preventative steps that you must consistently undertake to ensure that your skin is well protected from the harmful rays of the sun, responsible for causing uneven skin tone and discoloration on the skin. Be sure to slather on at least SPF30 sun protection daily and to top up when you are going to be exposed to the sun for most of the day.
