Skincare essentials for every staycation
/Staycations…. It seems they’re the closest we’ll be getting to a holiday in the unforeseeable future of flying abroad.
Staycations are wonderful for some much needed downtime and we’re right with you. The only thing I dread about staycations is packing a luggage full of skincare and makeup even if it’s for 2 night stay simply because we’re so accustomed too all the products we use on a daily basis, and it doesn’t help that what we usually buy are in full-size bottles.

Here’s to making your packing a little easier with these essential skincare items you’ll need for any staycation.
#1 Sunscreen
Not just an essential for staycations, this is an EVERYDAY essential. More so if you plan on spending some time by the pool. With sunscreen, I never believe in scrimping because I would never want to run out of it. Pick one that has at least SPF 30, that protects you from UVA and UVB rays and even better if they’re water resistant. Don’t forget to re-apply your sunscreen at least every 2 hours if you’re going to be out and about.
Umbrella UV-Protection & Light Diffusing Cream offers a mega dose of SPF 70 and is water and sweat proof, affording up to 240 minutes of protection in the water. It’s also gentle enough to be used on babies and sensitive skin so if you’re travelling with a kid in tow, this is one tub you can share with the family.
#2 Facial mist
Heat getting you down and you need a quick refresher? A facial mist can be a lifesaver in times like these. Simply spritz over your makeup for a quick perk me up. A good one to have is one that doubles up as a light makeup remover and toner. That’s 3 products in one and you simply have to bring one to serve all these needs.
Reset Rejuvenating Facial Mist ticks all the boxes for me and more. As a multitasking powerhouse tonic, this product brightens and hydrates the skin and even helps to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

#3 Sheet mask
After a day out at the beach or the pool, nothing is more welcomed than a cold piece of sheet mask placed on your skin for a good 20 minutes. Sheet masks are compact and disposable, making them easy to pack for any holiday.
Not only do sheet masks pamper your skin, the ingredients in it can help to calm and rehydrate your skin. SW1’s Water Infusion Mask is formulated with high concentrations of Hydro Ionized Mineral Water which is beneficial for delivering high doses of moisture to stressed and parched skin, it is also saturated with hyaluronic acid to replenish dull, tired skin.
